Capillary pressure is an important quantity for reservoir characterization. Piri Technologies has access to two gravimetric capillary pressure measurement systems which allow for accurate determination of capillary desaturation curves. The systems employ standard 10 inch ceramic porous plates rated for 1 to 15 bar pressures. The desaturation cell is constructed of stainless steel and carbon fiber and is large enough to simultaneously characterize 20 core samples.
