Two fully automated porosimeter/permeameter instruments are available for testing customer samples. The instruments can measure permeabilities to 0.001 mD and porosities down to 0.1%. Confining pressures can be varied from 500 to 10,000 psi which allows engineers to observe the effects of stress on porosity and permeability. Measurements are made with either helium or nitrogen and are automatically corrected for the Klinkenberg effect. Batches of samples can be run quickly allowing customers to get the data they need in a timely manner.
